Next Saturday, October 5th, at 12:30 am, in Turón (Asturias), Professor Navarro will receive the “Pozu Fortuna” award from the Foro Pozu Fortuna association in recognition of his distinction in the implementation of actions or works that enhance the values of humanity, freedom, solidarity, peace and human rights. Foro Pozu Fortuna is an independent, non-profit association, whose mission is to vindicate the memory of the victims of the Franco regime.

This article highlights the conspicuous ideological bias of the mainstream media as they launch a widespread ideological attack on pensions throughout Spain. It outlines the lack of both debate and diversity of ideas in the five largest newspapers in Spain, and their collective one-sided coverage of the public pensions issue, promoting the alarmist views of financial institutions that criticize public pension sustainability and argue for their privatization.
